Chairman of the Russian Government Dmitry Medvedev signed an Order appointing Alexey Khersontsev the Deputy Minister for Economic Development of the Russian Federation—the Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation (RusAccreditation). Previously, the Russian Government Decree No. 911 of July 17, 2019, established that the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation can have a Deputy Minister—Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation among his Deputy Ministers.
Biography:
Born on August 21, 1980, in Lesnoy, Sverdlovsk Region.
Graduated from the Ural State Law Academy, the Institute of Foreign Economic Relations and Law in 2002.
In 2003-2008, served as specialist, leading specialist, chief specialist, Head of research management at the Ural State Law Academy. Also worked as lecturer, senior lecturer at the Department of Business Law at the Ural State Law Academy.
In 2008-2010, served as Head of the Legal Experts Group for Property Relations, Vice-President of ANO “Public Reforms Center”.
In 2010-2011, worked as Director of the Department of Regulatory Impact Assessment at the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
In 2011-2016, served as Director of the Department of State Economy Regulation of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. In June 2016, appointed as Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation.
On September 6, 2019, appointed as Deputy Minister for Economic Development of the Russian Federation—Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation (RusAccreditation).
